Case Background: Overstayed B1 B2 Visa, Marriage based
April 22, 2019 Sent/submitted I-130, I-131, I-131A, I-864, I-485, I-765, I-693, G-1145, G-
28, biometrics and filing fee checks with the following evidence:
1. Parking Ticket my husband received when he helped us move when
we were not married yet
2. Copies of 2018 (joint filing), 2017 & 2016 Tax Returns of my husband
3. Copy of my husband’s employment letter and four (4) most recent
pay stubs
4. Copy of my husband’s divorce judgement from his previous marriage
5. Copy of our Marriage Certificate
6. Copy of my and my husband’s Birth Certificates with English
translation
7. Copy of my husband’s Naturalization Certificate
8. Copy of my husband’s US Passport and NYS Driver’s License
9. Copy of my current passport
10. Copy of the passport that includes my US Visa
11. Copy of my I-94
12. USPS confirmation of my husband’s change of address when we
moved in together
13. Board of Elections confirmation of my husband’s change of address
14. Original of our Landlord’s letter confirming our monthly rent payments
15. Print-out of our Engagement notice in Facebook
16. Print-out of our Wedding “Save the Date” announcement on
Facebook
17. Receipts for Wedding related expenses (invitations & flowers)
18. Copy of Wedding Invitation
19. Print-out of 45 photos of us together (including wedding photos)
20. Video CD of Wedding greetings from my family that are in my country
(returned by USCIS upon receipt-they don’t have the means to review
such format)
21. Original signed affidavit from my husband
22. Original signed affidavit from my mom
23. Original signed affidavit from two of our friends
24. Original signed affidavit from my sister-in-law
25. Copy of most recent bank statement from our joint checking account
26. Health Insurance joint application
27. Health Insurance form – my husband assigning me as authorized
person to talk to
28. Print-out of my husband’s 401K designating me as beneficiary
29. Copy of our Spectrum bill with both our names on it
30. Print out of our T-Mobile account details with both our names and
mobile numbers
31. Email documenting joint Amazon Account
May 1, 2019 Received text message that USCIS received the packet we sent. Same
day checks were cashed
May 5, 2019 Received Receipt Notices in the mail
May 11, 2019 Received Biometrics notice
May 21, 2019 Biometrics – (Long Island City, New York)
Aug. 12, 2019 Interview Notice Received
Sept. 19, 2019 10:30am Interview at Federal Plaza, New York (after both of us took our
oaths she proceeded asking questions). Her questions were:
a. To my husband – How did you get your naturalized?
b. To me – How long have you known each other?
c. To my husband – Do you know any of your wife’s address other than the present
d. To us both – What’s the full name and birthday of your husband?
e. To my husband – Tell me your story, how did you meet, when did you start dating and who proposed?
f. To my husband – What are the full names of your in-laws? Have you met them?
g. To us both – Where does your husband work? What is his job? How does he get there and what time does he leave for work?
h. To me – Have you paid taxes? (I said yes and gave her copies of my Tax Returns from 2014 to 2017; 2018 we filed jointly and was already submitted)
i. To me – What visa did you have when you entered the US?
j. To me – What happened to the petition of you filed by your mother? (Showed her the approval notice and she copied something from it)
k. To me – she asked the yes and no questions from the I-485 form and asked me to sign after
l. To me – Please pull up your Facebook page on your phone and show me the latest post you made that concerns you and your husband (I did)
m. To us both – Do you have additional proof you want to submit? (Gave her all the bank statements from our bank account, the recent bills from T-mobile and Spectrum and additional 25 photos)
Then the IO informed us that she will recommend approval and issued a white paper. We waited 2 ½ hours and was interviewed not more than 10 minutes.

Nov. 14, 2019 I-465 new card being produced
Nov. 15, 2019 I-130 & I-465 approved
Nov. 18, 2019 I-130 & I-465 approval notices received, same day Card mailed
Nov. 19, 2019 Tracking number
