Adjustment of Status - I-485

I came in with a visitor visa and then became a student in 2013. I became and student and then just got married but am still a student and I am trying to file my documents. the problem is I stay on campus, my wife stays with a friend and I don't know what documents to present as proof. my sister added us to her phone plan, I added her to my auto insurance and that's about it. I also have a pending criminal record that would be dismissed because it was a misunderstanding and my school has a letter dismissing the case. I need advice on how to follow up the case and also does my sister having her case pending matter and also does anyone know how long it will take for the entire process to be accomplished from kileen texas
