Adjustment of Status - I-485

I feel I owe this to this page because it has been a mixed feeling and I have read a lot of positive and negative reviews here which made me hang on all this while, I received two letters on January 29 one for me and one for my wife that my application was denied. The reason-giving to me was that I filed while out of status which is so weird. The reason for my wife's letter was that our interview did not show what we said, that they sent us a notice of intention to deny in September 2020 which was never received because I still live in the same apartment, and when we moved I contacted them immediately with my new address. I am frustrated, sad, and TIRED but it is what it is. Trying to talk to a lawyer now to see if there is an alternative and if there is not I will be on my way back home in less than 30 days. Good luck to everyone else. I tried my best. We interviewed in March 2019 and got married in 2017.
