Almost 5 months now...
By end of this week (Jan 28th), my wait time will be 5 month.

I dont know what else to do or say any more.... Feels like I am locked away in some psychiatrist ward or something.

So my PD was 28 Aug. Marriage based.
Biometrics was on time...
And then complete silence.... no change of status online whatsoever.

On Day 75 I called... nothing.
I raised SR via website..... nothing.

On Day 90 I went to see my congressman and they gladly helped me to write to USCIS about my case. I am glad I did because on Day 111, I received an RFE letter from USCIS.
It was indeed the congressman's inquiry that gave USCIS a nudge to look into my file. And how I know this? Because USCIS did reply to my congressman and looking at their letters I can safely say that was the case.

I can still remember clearly as I got the letter and saw it was a pink colored one (instead of a normal white).... I was so scared to open it because I knew deep down if it was an RFE, I am screwed in terms of the wait period. Well ... it was indeed an RFE.
By the time I got my RFE, it was X'mas season and both my husband and I needed sometime (10 days) to complete the RFE. In the end we sent it.

USCIS received my RFE on 10th January (status changed to received RFE online).

I then went to see my Congressman once again and this time they were a little hesitant to help and told me that if I need to expedite my case I need solid proof.

You see, the thing is I don't quite have a proof per se. My main issue right now is that I need to go back to my home country and attend to my mother (who is home alone). I also need to see my doctor back in my home country as going for any checks up here in the US is expensive. And yes, it is getting tight for the husband but we are getting by. I dare not even bring up the issue of my husband's struggle in fear of that affecting my Green Card interview/process.

I am just soooo so angry that USCIS made me wait almost 4 months before sending me an RFE and only to have my waiting clock back to zero (additional 90 days of wait).

Its been almost 9 months now that I am in the US which was unforseen and I promised my mom I would be back sooner....

Those who did get an RFE, please do share....

**PS : On day 90 something I did go for INFOPASS and met an officer. It wasn't helpful at all. I was told to only push the panic button after 120 days. And he half seriously frightened me if I expedite my case, my file might be risked in losing the queue if it doesnt get approved. In the end I didn't do anything.
