Hey guys! I have been following this forum for a couple of months now and I see a lot of successes with AOS. I married my wonderful wife in Nov 2012 and knew each other for almost a year prior to that. Our engagement was a little fast but ever since then we have been enjoying our marriage. Here is my timeline.
Aug 17 received AOS ( a week later got receipts)
Aug 29 biometrics for Sept 11
Sept 11 went for biometrics and was super easy
Oct 19 received both approval for my employment card and advance parole travel document. (My dad got a stroke a couple months back and just wanted to have it for an emergency before getting aprove for green card?)
Now I am waiting for my i485 to update. Does anyone knows how long it takes? My service center is Nebraska and I live in dallas tx
