AOS Experience
Hey guys, this website has always been of a great help for me especially that I am a stressed person, so was thinking of sharing my experience to help other too! Especially that my case had all the bad encounters you can imagine lol

May 2017: marriage in Wichita Kansas
August 2017: did my medical exams
November 29th, 2017: filed my AOS package finally
December 24th: status changed to usps couldn’t deliver your notice, so freaked out and called USCIS and spoke to L2 officer who was helpful and resent my another fingerprint appointment
January 8th, 2018: did fingerprints
February 2018: moved to Colorado Springs in Colorado and of course filed a change of address
March 2018: contacted congressman office and ombudsman’s for latency in my work permit card
April 16th: been hit by the worst ever, RFE for another affidavit of support cause mine isn’t enough
April 20th: resent another one to them and they said they will reset the clock again and was so frustrated of course
April 28th: surprising!!!!! New Card is being produced and received it one week later
May 1st: I485 status changes to case is ready for being scheduled to an interview
September: started contacting ombudsman again for the interview cause it’s almost a year
October 1st: case status changed to interview was scheduled
October 8th: received notice for interview on November 5th
October 30th: realized that my medical exam is over a year and I have to renew it but of course nothing in hand and I won’t be able to renew it so I just took the risk
November 5th: went there for the interview with my wife, the officer was so nice, we had a lot of documents for almost 3 years as we have been living together and we have shared everything even before our marriage, the officer went through the documents and it was more of a chat between all of us as he realized that we’ve been in love for so long now and that our marriage is real, he treated us with respect as we were so genuine and smiling all the time, he even mentioned my medical exam and he said that it counts from the day I filed as long as I submitted the package more than 60 days after the surgeon has signed, so it was all from God :))))
November 5th night: wow, case approved
November 7th: approval letter in mail
November 9th: green card in mail

Stay positive guys, use ombudsman and USCIS hotline, I don’t have a lawyer and I did all the process by myself with my wife from A to Z, tell the officer the truth and only the truth, good luck to you all and let me know if you have any questions :)))
