AOS INTERVIEW, MEMPHIS FIELD OFFICE
I had my interview on Friday May 5th 2017. My PD is September 2016. I am the beneficiary and my wife is the US citizenThe interview went thus:

We went through the security check and soon settled in the waiting hall to be called by the immigration officer. Soon we were called in by a male officer who looks like he might be in his 40s. He asked us to raise our right hands and swear to tell the truth, which we did. After which he asked me to confirm my name, social security number, date of birth, dad and mom's names. He was asking me those same biographic information we had in the form I-485. He then asked my wife to confirm her social security number which she did. He then asked my wife if she was still attending school. This is because when we filed our initial application she was living in another state where she was schooling, but joined me after graduation. My wife told him she has now graduated. He asked us how we met, and we told him. He confirmed the last time i came into the USA and i told him. I came on F1 visa. He asked me if i have ever been out of status and i said no.

He then went ahead and said the golden words " I will be approving your application" I couldnt believe how short the interview was. Everything lasted about 5 mins. He asked if we had any question but because i was so shocked at the brevity of the interview, i said No. It was when i stepped out of the building i realized i should have asked him to stamp my passport or give me an approval letter. But anyway i didnt. When my wife and i came out, people around were surprised that we came out so quickly. Even the security ladies who checked us in were like "you all are done already?. It was a breeze. Actually, i spent more time trying to find parking space in down town Memphis than i spent in the entire interview. I had loads and loads of evidence i prepared to show him, but he didnt ask for anything. He didnt want to see any new evidence. He was ok with the initial ones we submitted with the application. From what i noticed, he already approved us before we walked in (which is what i told God to do for me). I told him to cause the IO to go through our case and approve me in his mind before i come in. Yesterday 8th of May my status was updated to "Case was approved" for both I-485 and I-130. Today 9th of May card was mailed.

Also,I noticed many people who come for these interviews dress very shabbily. Though there is no dress code, I and my wife dressed like we were going for a business meeting. When you dress good you command respect from the interviewer. I am not saying the interview verdict is determined by dress code, however, i believe people generally take you more serious when you dress well. Lastly, if you believe in God, pray and commit the whole process into his hands. Ask him to influence things for you so the odds can be in your favor. If you do not believe in God or prayers, this is not a bad time for you to try prayers. It wouldnt hurt to see if it works.
