We are finally done with part I of this lovely process!! So excited and happy!!
My husband is the applicant and I am the US citizen. We had our interview yesterday 3/11/20 at 930am at the Portland Oregon office.
A little about the interview experience..
Interview was approx 20 minutes long. The IO did the oath, reviewed our case with us (K1 visa), went thru the questions on the 485 form with my husband. Asked us how we met and about our wedding. He was personal yet professional. At the end, asked us if we brought additional info we wanted to provide. I had create a binder with everything we had joint - lease, renter's insurance, checking & savings, credit card, utility bills, costco, health insurance, HSA account, emergency contacts at our jobs. He barely looked at the copies but did keep them. We left the office feeling very confident our case was approved.
At 3:30pm, we received a text notification our case status was update to approved and card is in production.
