I have been working full time for a fortune 500 company and have been to India on a vacation. I had my Finger Prints on November 20 and my visa Interview was on 21. Here is a summary of my interview
VO: Are you working full time for your company
Me: Yes
VO: Which City?
VO: What is your base pay?
VO: Did you do masters in US?
VO: Which University?
She then handed over a white form with case number and no option checked. At the end she mentioned your passport will be ready in two weeks
I have been following this community for the last two weeks and as someone said, It took exactly 10 working days to issue the visa. Here is a time:
December 5: Case date updated
December 6: Case updated to Issued
December 7: Collected Passport
Probably mine was issue with PIMS update, as I recently changed my employer (a couple of months back). I also read during the last two weeks there are many people thinking about coming to India for stamping and are in dilemma because of these 221g recently. Let me be clear, If you case is genuine and have all the proper documents, there shouldn't be any issues.
