Approved on the spot can't be thankful enough
I have been a silent reader for over a year now and I really want to thank each of you because with all your experiences and sharing your stories I felt very confident going to the interview , so I'm going to start by saying that my adjustment of status was a little different my wife is Cuban and she is still a resident not a citizen so I figured that was already a red flag because if uscis approves you , you automatically get a permanent resident not a conditional one , and I was wrong I applied for adjustment on 09/29/2016 in Kendall miami fl officehad my bio taken 10/24/2016 EAD Parole approved 11/23/2016 guys use your advance parole if you have one I used it three times and never had a problem coming back and I over stayed my visa so the first time I was very skeptical about it but there's no reason to be. So April 11 I was scheduled for interview and interview date was 05/25/2017. Our interview was sch at 11 am we got there at 10:30 am there were at least 4 couples and 3 other people before us we saw some of them being separated others got out with a not so happy face others were out in like 10 minutes and happy , we were called in at 11:40 this nice lady walked us in to her office swore us in and since the beginning she said ok so guys I wan to hear about your relationship From how you guys met till now I don't care who talks or if you wanna interrupt your partner just don't give me the same as everyone else oh we just met and then decided to marry , we all laugh at this and so that was all she listened to both me and my wife was looking at our pictures and just having a regular conversation and at the end said ok so you will get the card in approximately 7 days I was shocked happy and surprised because it didn't feel like I was being questioned it rather felt like she wanted to get to know us and that's it 20 minutes and out , when I walked out I checked my phone and I had the email saying card is in production and 4 hours later changed to case approved . Very frustrating because of the time we all have to wait to be called for the interview but it's worth the wait I will just say if any of you has an interview coming just be as normal as posible and pleas be calm and dress accordingly the impression the officer gets from you since they see you it's very important and it may determine the way the interview will be conducted .
