I485 never updated to case ready to schedule for interview

Had infopass in April, they told me my file was still at NBC and Atlanta wast scheduling any interview till like May

June 16th: Got notified that I had been scheduled for interview, got the notice in the mail 2 days later.
Interview: 18 July 11:45.
Approved : 18 July 14:40

The past 8 months have been an emotional roller coaster..... but nothing and I stress nothing, beats the knowledge you can pick up on this website. Jesus. You guys are awesome. after reading up on people's experiences here:

1) We forced my doctor to rewrite my old medical on the new form and clearly indicate the Gonorrhea results.
2) I had 3 names on my birth certificate and had just 2 of the 3 on my passport and every other document I own. I had my family back home fix this with the registrar of birth and get this: Fedex delivered it today morning at 8am. for this, they have my business for life. This was God working right here.

We took everything you can imagine, new and old lease, life insurance, health insurance,2016 taxes, Comcast bills, Georgia power bills, costco memberships, discover, amex and Citi credit cards, receipts and Photos( not in an album, with descriptions at the back.)

Now here is the strange bit, apparently in Atlanta, its a first come first serve policy. we checked in at the first floor receptionist desk and they told us to check in at a similar desk on the 2nd floor, got there and it was still closed but when the lady clocked in later I was first in line. Our interview was for 11:45am but we were called in at 11:30( Again GOD at work, saved us from the long wait)

The IO was no nosense but she kept the questions simple and direct, confirming the answers on the I130 with my US citizen wife and I485 with me. there were followup question mostly to me like how we met, where we met, she asked my wife where I was from and if she knew what part of Africa that was( she knew the country and place didnt know whether west or east Africa...hahahahaha). She looked through our photos and kept 3. she also kept the tax returns, lease, medical insurance certificate and claims as well as the bank statement. she asked whether we had any questions to which I asked whether we had been approved. she said a flat out NO. at this point I remembered to give her the new medical which she added to the file. this must have sparked something coz thats when she remembered to tell us about the removal of conditions in 21 months time. She handed us a document saying case was held for further review. Disappointed? off course. Relieved that it was all over? you have no idea.

Just a while back I got an email saying "On July 18, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number..." I'm a grown **** man but trust me when I say I cried like a baby. God's grace. He remembered me in my hour of need. I have no words.

Cant forget to thank you guys. you have been my encyclopedia. We did this without a lawyer. But the information I got off here was enough to assure me that we made the right choice. No lawyer can work as hard for you like you can.

If you've got any questions Shoot.
