Awaiting I-131 clearance
Hi Everyone,

I have been regularly following this forum and am thankful for all the information received from here.

I filed an adjustment of status (I-485) application in July 2017 along with the I-131 travel document request since I am traveling outside the US in week 51 (3rd week of December). In addition, I also filed I-765 and I-130 (which was filed by my spouse).
The problem with my case is that it has been 146 days since my I-131 case was received at USCIS (they received the case on July 5, 2017) and I have not received my AP yet. I did receive the I-797C notice of action on July 11, 2017. Also, I completed the biometric appointment as scheduled on August 4, 2017.
The delay is making me nervous. My wife and I booked the non-refundable tickets for December thinking 170 days would be sufficient for AP to arrive.
I submitted an SR to National Benefits Center on November 13, 2017, but have not received any response yet.
Also, I asked USCIS to expedite my AP on November 15, 2017, and received the following notifications on my online case status information –
1. On November 15, 2017, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1F31917 **** *MSC, was assigned to an officer for a response.
2. On November 17, 2017, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1F31917 **** *MSC
3. On November 17, 2017, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1F31917 **** *MSC, was completed
**Can anyone please help me in understanding what should I infer from the above status information? Is the AP expedite case approved? Or is it still under review? **
I tried talking to USCIS tier 2 and they said the case is under review and that I should wait for a decision.

One of the issues I can think of is that we got a request for evidence from USCIS for I-485 as we were missing some documents. While we were arranging for the documents, USCIS stopped processing of the case (as there standard practice per USCIS website). We submitted the documents and on August 11, 2017, USCIS again started working on the I-485. Do you feel that might be a reason for the delay to I-131?

Please suggest what I should consider as next steps to get the AP through before I travel outside US. :)
