Visitor Visa - B2

Hello there. Me and two of my friends are travelling from Northern Ireland to America in less than three months and are looking to get a B-2 Visa for six months and then continue onwards to Australia after that period for a year. We already have our working visas for Australia granted in hours.

We've to go to interviews with American Consulates before hand to get the Tourism visa approved.
Out of the three of us, i'm the only one with family there whom i'll be saying i'm staying with from time to time back and forth throughout the travelling across America

We were just wondering how hard it would be to actually get the Visas approved and what sort of questions they'd ask. Our main worry is that they'll ask to see documents of the funds we've saved and deem them not enough, but in our calculations we seem to have enough to sustain us for we mightn't be staying for the full six months but just over the three months. We've heard there main concern is people planning to stay longer, which we do not.
