Visitor Visa - B2

We had planned a trip to the USA since our daughter was born (now 8) to Disneyland. So we did the right thing and applied for a visa for all of us. My husband was refused a visa and told to make an apppointment at the US Consulate which cost money. He made the four hour trek to sydney to apply and they told him that they had to send his application away to the DHS to seek adjudication. They said this would take upto 6 months. This was in the december and our trip was the following September. We continued calling and calling and calling and told to wait. The morning of our departure he called them up and they said " denied". How lovely..my 8 year old daughter crying, Im a mess and my mother and aunty all saying "what happened". We had to leave on our 4 week holiday without him. Its a joke. They never sent out a letter or explanation..nothing...
