Visitor Visa - B2

I am 26 yrs old Indian student studying in Germany since 2016 and applied for B2 tourist visa.

VO: Hello sir,
Me: Hi

VO: may i see your passport
Me: sure, do you need my older passport also ?

Vo: no.

Vo: why r u going to US?
Me: to see, travel

Vo: you mean as a Tourist
Me: yes

Vo: how many countries have you travelled ?
Me: more than 17

Vo: since how many years you are here in germany?
me: more than one year now( told her exact dates)

Vo: what do you study?
me: Masters in xxxx

Vo: how much study duration you still have to finish?
Me: i will convocate in 2018

Vo: where are you going in US?
Me: new york

Vo: what you gonna visit in new york?
Me: Statue of liberty and manhattan etc (i hadn't made my travel plan yet but with presence of mind i could list all the must see places in new york)

Vo: how many days you wanna stay
Me: 7 days (told exact days)

Vo: why US now in these dates?
Me: as i have to travel to Portugal after this trip

Vo: where are you gonna stay?
Me: I have booked a youth hostel

Vo: Is someone accompanying you?
me: Nope I am travelling alone.

Vo: I am approving your visa and you will receive it in few days.
Me: oh thank you, when can i expect my passport?
Vo: you should get it in 4 weeks of time.

In all my visa experience was good. I had taken all the necessary docs with me but wasn't asked to show even once. I also believe that multiple factors could have helped for my approval like I am a student still left to finish my education in Germany(which demonstrates my ties to come back) or my family has been living in Qatar for more than 10 years which includes me of having resident permit of Qatar or my previous travel history to many different countries like Australia etc(which demonstrates I am a genuine tourist).
