B2 Visa rejection
Hi, I wanted to bring my aunt and uncle to US as they really wanted to visit US once so I applied for their B2 visa back in April but the results weren't positive. Below are the questions asked and answers provided. My uncle is a retired teacher and aunt is housewife.

Q : What do you do?
A : I'm a retired teacher.

Q: Who is sponsoring your visa? and where will you stay in US?
A : My nephew is sponsoring (which is myself - my uncle is my dad's brother) and we will be staying at this house in ...place in US.

Q: How long do you intend to stay in the US?
A : we are planning to stay there for 4 months.

Q: Why so long?
A : we want to cover entire USA and will need time to go to all the important places since US is a big country.

Consular rejected the visa after this q. Very few questions were asked and it looked like the consular had already profiled them as potential immigrants and thus didn't bother to ask additional questions.

Not knowing what went wrong, we reapplied in Aug and below is the conversation with the consular officer

Q: What is the purpose of your trip to US?
A: We want to visit US for tourism purposes.

Q: Who is sponsoring your visa?
A : My nephew is sponsoring.

Q: Where does he live and how is he related to you?
A : He lives in so and so place and he is my brother's son.

Q: Is your brother travelling with you?
A: No, it's just me and my wife.

Q: Does your nephew visits India often?
A : No (which is true and also the thought process was that if I (their nepew) visit India often, what's the need for them to visit US to see me)

Q: Do you have children?
A: Yes, we have 4 children

Q: where do your children live?
A : they are all in India.

Q: How long do you intend to visit US?
A: 1 month since my son's wedding is coming up in three months and we need to start arrangements for it so we'll visit for a month and return.

Q : What do you do?
A : I'm currently doing Agriculture but before I was a teacher (this is a true fact). Thinking retirement was the reason last time, my uncle said he does agriculture which is actually ture. He has fields and does some agriculture work.

Q: What is your income?
A: 1Lakh (didn't specify per month or per annum but just said 1L)

Q: (to my aunt) what do you do?
A : I'm housewife.

At the point, consular rejected.

While asking these questions, the consular also went through the passport pages. Since my uncle and aunt haven't travelled to any country outside of India, there weren't any visas in their passports.

Also the consular didn't ask any questions related to previous denial

We are not sure what went wrong here and why the visa was rejected. I see in this forum that travel history really helps to get a visa if so is there any chance if they do a short trip to nearby country and then apply for visa. Will that help? Can we reapply in a month's time? Please advise. Thanks in advance for your replied.
