BACKGROUND CHECKS
Hi everyone,
I am a family based adjustment of status filer with August 30th 2018 priority date.
I and my spouse had our interview in June 2019 and to the best of my assessment everything went well, but up till this moment neither my I-130 nor I-485 has been approved or denied....A couple of Service Request i sent always came back with the same response:
(....According to USCIS records, we are unable to move forward with your application until the required background checks have been completed. At this time, we are unable to determine when the adjudication of your case will be completed and no further action is required from you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing...)
My question is What really does this background check entail...Is it just focused on criminal record or they are still investigating the legality or otherwise of our marriage...
I will appreciate any helpful feedback.
