CA - Oakland CIS fingerprinting experience
Appointment at 8 am.
Arrived at the office at 7.30 am by BART - very convenient location relative to BART station - only a 2 block walk. Although I did see 5-6 open metered parking spaces on the road ($1 for an hour).
Waited 30 mins for door to open.
After entering - the "guard" asked me for letter, ID and greencard. Gave me a form to fill, which took 5 minutes, my number was called, the "receptionist" jotted down some stuff and sent me to second floor.
Waited for 5 mins and was called for my fingerprints.
The actual fingerprinting took about 10 mins - was a little frustrating as the lady kept asking me to "relax" my wrist to get good fingerprints. It was a bit disconcerting to see the words "Warning - possible match" flash across the screen as well. :) Hope that no terrorist has the same fingerprints as me!! :(
I was out by 8.30 am - got on the BART and was home by 9.30 am.
All in all - a very simple exercise.
I just hope that the rest of the process is as easy and streamlined.
