Below is my timeline
Jan 28th - Applied Online for myself, wife and my kid
Jan 29th - Got letter for Biometrics - I didn't see this until Feb 4th
Feb 7th - Wife and I gave Biometrics at the nearest ASC
Feb 8th - Got a letter asking for Passport
Feb 10th - Sent the 3 passports in a single Fed Ex envelope directly to CIC Ottawa. It is important to follow the instructions under Where to send the passports link. Though i sent them together, I believe CIC will send them back separately. So you need to create individual return labels. Follow the instructions and you will be ok
Feb 12th - Passports delivered to Ottawa. Tracked using FebEx tracking.
Feb 20th - CIC site updated with the approved status. Please note that the visa is issued until your passport validity date. Hopefully I will receive the passports back in a couple of days
No updates on the CIC site between Feb 12th and this morning.
