Hi guys! Came to share the good news.. my interview (April 20th), had been cancelled due to COVID. It was rescheduled on June 22nd and the interview took place July 9th.
It went pretty well, the officer was really nice and didn’t ask too many questions. It took like 20 mins! And at the end she said that it was going to take a while for them to run a background check (a month or 2) so we had to be patient because everything is taking way longer now.
At the end she said congratulations and that we could celebrate but since she said it would take so much time, I didn’t want to celebrate too soon.
Today I got the notification on the app saying that a new card is being produced... We’re sooooo happy!!! I’ll leave you my timeline. My office was Mt Laurel NJ and we didn’t hire a lawyer.

Feb 17/ 2020 - Courtesy letter (asking for medical form)
Feb 18/ 2020 - Ready to be scheduled for interview

Mar 13/ 2020 - Notice with appointment date: April 20th
Mar 31/ 2020 - Interview has been cancelled
Apr 01/ 2020 - Ready to be scheduled for interview
May 05/ 2020 - Received EAD and SSN with new last name
Jun 22/ 2020 - Interview has been scheduled
