Case Sent Back to NBC after EB2 Interview.
Folks - appreciate all your great insights within this forum.
I had my EB2 Interview recently, and it went extremely well. However the IO during the interview found out some mixed up in some documents from a prior EB1 application that I got denied few years ago as USCIS never closed its I-485 despite its I-140 denial. He mentioned that he would fix the issue in the field office, and I would her from them in the next 3 weeks with probably my green card approval. Few hours after the interview my case status changed to Interview Completed, and Case must be reviewed. However, in the next day my case changed to Case transferred, and new Office has jurisdiction. That Got me very concerned as I realized they send it back to NBC office in MO. When I called the 1-800 number I was told that part of a new process all EB cases - after interview-- should go back to NBC for a final vetting and approval as field offices won't authority for final approval. they also mentioned that this would take between 24-36 months. This is all new to me as everyone I know got their GC 2-3 weeks after EB2 interview. Anybody went through the same experience or heard similar thing. appreciate your input please. Thanks
