Change name to husband's?
When I went for my interview, I passed and everything was ok. Then the officer asked me about my name, that it must be changed to my husband's name. I said, I prefer my name but if there is no choice...
Later I received the letter for my oath ceremony. I found out that it is not mandatory to change names if you do not want to.
I sent a letter requesting no to change my name, and not attending to the oath ceremony (invitation that arrived with my new last name). I went to INFOPASS, they say I'd might be called for oath ceremony on June, he did not say about my name to be changed back. Is it someone who knows about this special situations?
Thanks for your response.
