Hi all! I wanted to see if people who had experience reaching out to their congressman could share their experience with me. Specifically, did you reach out to your local representative or a state senator? And how long did it take for you to get a response?
I chose to reach out to my state senator for certain reasons, and it has been over two weeks now and I never even got a confirmation that they are processing my request (I followed instructions on the website and sent everything over email). Is it normal?
I recognize that state senators cover much larger population (i.e. the entire state) vs local reps who are only responsible for people in their district, so I suppose that could be a potential reason why they process requests slower?
