DACA to Permanent Resident
hey everyone just giving an update.
PD January 2017
Last week i had interview at the Portland office. lasted about 20min
Couple hours after interview my status changed to 'card being produced' got the approval letters today.

At the interview day i checked in and got called in and greeted by a very nice officer.
She put me and my wife in the same room. Took a picture of me and fingerprint on my index finger. Then she began asking us basic questions like
How long have we been married ? How long where we engaged for? Do we have pets? what are their names? what are my parents name and her parents names? where did we go on our first date?
Asked me if i had committed any crimes and told her yes that i had a misdemeanor but did not get arrested and got fined. She did not ask for final Disposition. i had already filed. But make sure you have it with you anyway. Just in case they ask. She asked me about the incident and how it happened and i explained but she was not too concerned and quickly moved on to the other questions. i was very nervous about this but was not a big deal. One thing i can not express enough BE ORGANIZE WITH ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS AND HAVE COPIES OF EVERYTHING. The officer expressed her self to us a couple of times on how we made things go faster and smoother by having everything organized. They will request copies some some documents to keep with your file. We used a 3 ring notebook folder and clear sheets with tabs separate and to keep files and copies together. Also dress nice, you don't need a tie but do wear a dress-up shirt. Remember you want to show that you care that you are there and are thankful to be given the opportunity to be a permanent resident of this great country. Always have faith and make sure that once you get your card "you keep it" stay out of trouble and fallow the nations laws. Become a citizen as soon as you can.
