Delayed process
Hi,
I submitted my online application on December 1st 2018 and got original passport request mail from IRCC on 7th Dec 2018. I submitted my original passport along with my dependents passports on 13th December 2018 ( I was waiting for the passport request mail for my son which came on 12th December).
My passport reached NewYork VAC on 14th December; I did a mistake by sending personal check instead of Money Order. I got a email from VFS Global on 19 December 2018 saying that I need to submit the money order and I sent the money order on the same day and it reached on 20th December.
That’s it. No updates or progress.. I am keep on sending email and making calls for no use; All the time I am keep on getting same response saying I need to wait.
As per the mail from IRCC, my passport should reach them within 30 days but now I am not sure where is my passport and what happens if VAC fail to submit my passport on time.
I checked IRCC website and it is saying that the application is pending with original passport submission.
I don’t know what to do with this situation, because I don’t have any valid ID documents to travel to NewYork office in person to check the status.
Is there any way to get the status without visiting in person? Do anyone have such kind of experience ( resubmitting the missing or wrong documents) ?
