Denver interview
Hello,

I had my interview on Thu March 15th and here is my experience.
PD 3/31/17
Notice received 2/25
Interview date 3/15
Field office: Denver, CO

The interview went really well, our officer was a young male in his early thirties. He was very nice and didn’t ask any difficult or intimidating questions. We did have an attorney with us and for the whole case from start to finish.
The interview basically had three stages. First the officer goes over your biometric forms and verifies all the information. Full names, dob, ssn, where you work and how long, your address, what visa you came into the us with, if you’ve been married before and when, where you were born etc. Then it moves into questions regarding your marriage- more personal. How you met, where and when, who asked who out first, where was the first date, when you moved in together. He also asked to name one thing about your spouse that annoys you. We both answered and he laughed with us. It felt more like a conversation than an interrogation and again the officer was very nice throughout. Finally, the last part, the officer asked if we brought anything with us to prove we were really married. That is when you show them your evidence. Our attorney had a file ready with everything in it and just handed it to the officer. He said ‘let me look through this for a minute’ and started flipping through the pages. He only asked a couple questions about a few pictures and who drives which car on our car insurance policy. That was pretty much it. Just for a note, we do not have a joint bank account, had not filed our taxes together yet, do not have an apartment lease together either. We are also 21 years apart in age. No questions about any of that. At the end he said let me review everything, if I need anything else I will let you know. The whole interview lasted probably 20-25 minutes or so.

My online status on myuscis.gov says case approved for both I-130 and I-485. My status in the regular uscis app still says case received which it has said the entire time. I am hoping and waiting anxiously for this to be officially done. It has been a long road for me as I’m sure has been for many of you.

Good luck to everyone, may your patience be strong enough for this process!
