Destroyed Visa and passport B2
I have plans to Travel to the USA shortly on my B2 visa, however I have just had a domestic fire that destroyed my home and with it my passport with the B2 visa inside. The visa was only issued 2 months ago, and was valid for 10 years. I can get a new passport quite quickly, however I will need the visa inside also or I'll have to cancel all my plans and won't be able to re-plan them for nearly 12 months.
I no longer have any remnants of the passport, it was completely destroyed, can the Embassy reissue my visa into the new passport or will I need to start the application process from the start for a brand new visa? (This will take too long).
