Hi everyone, I have posted a question here before and I am thankful of you all for helping me. This is my story:
- I came here on a B1/B2 visa for a conference in DC in July 2016. My boyfriend of that time lived in NYC and we were serious, at that point we had been together for 2.5 years. When I visited him he asked me to stay and we got married in March 2017. We filed for I -130 and I - 485 in May 2018. I received my EAD in January 2018 because the lawyer messed something up. I got a notification that I am ready to be scheduled for an interview in July 2018.
However, my husband has been abusive all this time. He attacked me in 16 separate occasions and I finally left him in May 2018. I just couldn't take it anymore. I recorded him admitting to the crime and took pictures of my bruises. I reported him and he went to jail. Now, I am in a legal battle trying to divorce him and make him pay for what he did to me.
I filed for an I - 360 in August 2018. Now I have some questions for you.
1. Do I have to wait for the interview and go there alone and tell them the story (together with my I - 360 receipt)
2. Do I call USCIS and withdraw my old I - 130, I - 485 and file a new I - 485 for my I - 360?
3. Can I file for an I - 131 together with the I - 360. I haven't seen my family in two years and all this situation is tough on me!
Anything, any advice or information will be valuable to me. I am in a very difficult position!
