EAD
Moved to the USA on a K1, paperwork filed Jan 5th 17, day 75 put a service request in regarding EAD, day 91 put a service request in regarding EAD. Both times I didn't hear back, within this time I also talked to local congressman and Ombudsman, none helped at all except congressman to get me into the service centre quickly.

In Service centre I explained, I have a career as an airline pilot, currently I cannot fly or work and this delay is going to hurt my career and money situation not just tomorrow but potentially for the rest of my career. I showed him a job offer I received in the USA, the pilot manager personally wrote a letter for me.

Immigration Officer said he would call me later that day and understood my position. He did call me at home in the afternoon and said it was taken care of and he would follow up next week. He called back that Monday and advised its being worked on. Next day my status changed and letters came in the mail for EAD and Advance Parole.

In my experience best to go in wear a suit, take your petitioner and plead your case with honesty. He could see all the work I did since January 5th in regards to study and course and exams necessary to work in my career field.

My advise, while you are waiting for your cards to arrive , do all you can , SSN, drivers license and anything for your career if you need qualifications for the USA, show them you have intent to work and be productive. If need be take online courses etc.

It worked for me
