Filed I-765 based on an E3D visa (spouse of an E3 visa holder)
April 6th – sent completed forms and payment to Texas as per requirements (based in Massachusetts)
April 13th – Case was received – Vermont Service Center
May 25th – Request for additional evidence (marriage certificate, scanned copy of his visa and entry stamps) (42 Days)
June 9th – Request for additional evidence received (count started again – 43 days)
July 27th – Raised a SR (day 90)
August 2nd – Received notification from USCIS that the case was not out of usual processing times as they had requested initial evidence in May and therefore the count had started again. Rang USCIS and spoke to tier 2 officer to inform that that it was additional evidence and not initial who told us that regardless of that, they were only processing cases from March so there was nothing we could do apart from wait. (Day 96)
August 8th – Contacted local congresswomen and asked for help with case (Day 102)
August 10th – submitted the privacy document, along with a letter requesting our case be expedited due to severe financial loss of not been able to seek employment since April as well as a formal job offer from his prospective employee (Day 104)
August 18th – Congresswomen informed us that his request to expedite his case was denied, as part of an E3D visa the E3 must be able to financially support the family, and therefore financial loss cannot be claimed (Day 112)
August 20th – Raised a SR – noted in the SR that additional evidence was received on June 9th
August 22nd – Status updated to your card is being produced (Day 116)
August 23rd – Response from USCIS to service request notifying us that the case has been approved and the card will be mailed (Day 117)
August 24th – Status updated to your card has been mailed (8pm update) (Day 118)
