EAD Card being produced
Hi all,
Been a lurker here for 2 months now. And my card is finally in production! My EAD application is as follows:
L2 EAD - via I-765
California Service Center
Here's my timeline:
12/27/2019 - USCIS Case received, no biometrics or appointments
03/30/2020 - Follow up call to USCIS because the application is beyond 90 days
04/02/2020 - New Card Is Being Produced
I have been prepared to expect the worst (5 to 7 months), but this is certainly a wonderful turn of events. I'm not sure if it's because USCIS is ramping up on EAD processing or if my recent call had any effect. I've read somewhere that USCIS does some "sweeps" of EAD applications beyond 90 days and maybe my recent call somehow "flagged" my application.
I guess for those waiting beyond the 90-day window, maybe you could make a short call to USCIS just checking if the application is processing normally. Also, mention your concerns about it exceeding 90 days already. Nothing to lose but a few minutes.
