EAD card lost by post office
My USCIS account, app, informed delivery, and tracking says my card was delivered 03/23.

Received EAD/AP approval notices 03/21/2019, and tracking # 03/22. Initially, it said my card would be delivered today (Monday), but then it changed to Saturday 03/23 - it never came even though the tracking said it was delivered 03/23.
This morning, I called USPS. They scheduled a call back at 9:00, 35-52 minutes...guess what? I’m still waiting to be called.
I then called USCIS. The customer service rep. who was very, very rude said that it’s beyond their control and will have to resubmit my application and wait another 4-6 months even though my case is already approved. By the way, I got my case expedited also. What makes you think I have time to wait another 4-6 months? I asked her to put me through to a Tier 2 officer. She said “the officer will tell you the same thing”, I said “that’s okay. I rather hear it from an officer. Just let me be sure.”
20 minutes later, I got a call back. She did say I have to resubmit the I-765/I-131 packet BUT I first have to go to the post office, and get a letter stating that my card is indeed lost/wasn’t delivered. Then submit the packet, and they’ll give me a service request number, and reproduce the card.
Thankfully, I checked my mailbox again just now, and my EAD card did come.
I read other person’s experiences and they were not so lucky. So if this happens, pray it comes or head straight to the post office and resubmit your packet as soon as possible.
