EAD expedited
Hello fam,
I'm so sad after reading about the immigration changes to come. Let's hope it's not too bad.
4/14: called USCIS to request top expedite my EAD under public health interest(I'm a physician)
4/15: received an email to fax evidence related to my request
4/15: after multiple failed attempts due to a busy line, faxed evidence of my medical qualifications through Hellofax
4/17: I765: Expedite request approved, new card is being produced
4/20: I-131, I-765 - case approved
Now, not sure if they will mail my EAD to me after whatever changes they are planning even though I can add to their army against Covid-19.
Everyone - please post updates to your case so we know if there is any progress after this announcement. My guess is that even if current applications are not included in the executive order, there will be a slowdown in the processing time :(
