EAD i-765 renewal
Hello,

I am renewing my previous EAD which expires in 9/16/2018.

I am currently employed and am worried if i have to quit or take leave (if they allow it since I just started 5-6 months ago).

My EAD I-765 application is at National Benefits Center and I applied ~4.1 months before expiration to give some ample time but now I am not sure if it will arrive in time since I have not received any status update.

The National Benefit Center:

05/14/2018 - We received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

*Skipped Biometrics - received a letter saying I don't need to do my biometrics and will use my previous one*

06/25/2018 - We completed our review of your fingerprints......

I still have about ~1.2 months before current one expires but I don't know if it will arrive :(

Anyone who applied in early to mid May received their EAD card yet? If it is renewal and since I skipped biometrics, I feel like it would have been bit faster but its almost 3 months in few weeks since they received it. It is getting so frustrating since I just got the job and was confident that applying slightly over 4 months would have been ample time to get it in time. The stress of thinking of quitting my job or taking leave is really frustrating me. My lawyer says that all I can do it wait or renew my DACA (one of his client got the card in 1 month). But right now my husband is petitioning me for greencard so I really don't know if I should really waste more lawyer fees and application fees and renew DACA and hope that I can also get it within a month. :/

Interesting Facts:

So if you type random numbers in the case status, you can see other people's status.

I have seen that people who have their receipt received in 4/15-4/18 have gotten their card within 2.5 months or less. I don't know why mine is taking so long ugh.

But then I looked at other cases and some people do not even have any other updates other than we received your case status. I see people from April and May still saying finger print completed and no status change either. After browsing through various numbers these three are the only ones I found with card being produced and mailed less than 3 months :/ lucky for them.
