Hello All,
New on the group as I have joined the unemployment line due to no EAD. It is honestly going to be a struggle living out of savings.
Case Background :
EAD Receipt Date - Jan 29/2018
EAD Notice Date - Feb 7/ 2018 -> Taking this as Day 0.
I485 Filing Notice Date - Feb 7/2018
Biometrics Date - Feb 21/2018
Visa Expiration Date (L1) - March 14/2018 (Day 35). L1 cannot be extended like H1.
So on day 35 me and my wife took leave of absence from work.
Questions -
1) Is there any story that EAD came within 75-90 days? Is there even a hope?
2) If there is no RFE, no additional paperwork issues, will there be any benefit for Ombudsperson / Congressmen?
3) Is there a limit on number of SR? Would that adversely impact case?
4) The cases on this forum say 120-190 days. Is this a common theme?
5) In USCIS website it says - Processing Dates :
As of Jan 31, 2018, EAD is Nov 1, 2018 published on March 15.
I have seen this is the theme.
So really the processing time is March 15 - Nov 1 and NOT Jan 31 - Nov 1 right?
6) As mentioned by others, I 131 is more delayed. Will they delay EAD more till they are done with I 131 also? I assume yes.
7) Any other suggestions / Comments are welcome.
Otherwise just getting mentally prepared for worst case outcome of many months without a job.
