EAD received after 171 days
Just want to share my experience here as it helped me to read others' testimonies.

Visa type: J-2
EAD type: renewal

09/06/2019: "Case Was Received"
01/14/2020: My old EAD expired, I had an unpaid leave of absence with my company until 02/12/2020
01/15/2020: Our new DS-2019 were issued (It was not possible to get them before as my wife had a sponsor tranfer). I mail the 2 DS-2019 to the USCIS center with 1 day delivery (UPS).
01/22/2020: "Correspondence Was Received And USCIS Is Reviewing It"
02/03/2020: I created an online service request for a case inquiry because my case became "outside normal processing times"
02/06/2020: Case Inquiry result : "Your case is currently under review by an officer. We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will complete the review of your application."
02/18/2020: "New Card Is Being Produced" after 165 days.
02/19/2020: "Case Was Approved"
02/20/2020: "Card Was Mailed To Me"
02/24/2020: I finally find my new card in the mail box!! Yippee!! (after 171 days)

I now have to reapply to the company which terminated my contract a week ago because I did not have a work authorization.
The whole process is very frustrating as you never know when something is going to happen. But it will happen, so you need to keep hoping and also keep trying whatever is possible!!
