Just thought I'd update my process in NYC.
Canadian (me) married USC in 12/17.
Used lawyer ($3k) to file via Chicago.
PD: 1/30/17
Notice date for biometrics: 2/11/17
Scheduled biometrics appt: 2/27/17
Notice of EAD sent: 4/26/17
EAD card received: 5/8/17
Looking forward to the interview. It seems like it should be 2- 4 months from now?
Always happy to learn about other couples' processes, and now especially keen to hear about particularly challenging interviews and how to avoid them.
I met my wife (then colleague) while I was working undocumented in the 2000s. I overstayed but then left the country for years for work and grad school. Anyone get questioned about previous overstays?
