EAD Renewal with NBC Out of Processing Time
Hi Guys,
I'm currently in the process of I-485 c(9) application. My first EAD expired in Dec, 2018. I submitted EAD renewal in the beginning of Sept. 2018. It's now out of processing time.
I have read about NBC not caring about renewal EADs in other's posts before. I'm between jobs right now, and do not want to lose any opportunities just because EAD is delayed. Here are a few steps I'm going to take, please give me some suggestions or if anything that works better in this case.
1. Submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online.
2. Call USCIS, try to talk to level 2 for more updates about my case. If still pending review, then:
3. Contact congressman's office, wait for response. If still pending, try to expedite the case. If not able to expedite, then:
4. Contact Senator's office, wait for response.
5. Call USCIS periodically, and schedule an infopass to talk to an officer.
6. Contact Ombudsman for assistance.
7. Visit congressman and Senator's office periodically.
