I hope you are all well and safe.
I have been an 'observer' of the website and thought to share my experience as it has been very useful to read the comments .
While is now possible to apply for an SSN at the same time as the I765, I have chosen to do it separately and in my case it worked much better. I was able to apply for an SSN by going to the office as an E2 spouse visa I went on 9th March ( before the closure) and received my SSN about 3 weeks . I have read here many cases of delayed SSN when done in conjunction of the I765 so perhaps is worth considering doing them separetely - anyway it worked for me .
Now I have a question
i am currently waiting for my I765 to be processed and I am aware its probably going to be a long wait. when is the earliest date that can chase them? is there a difference between just calling the office and making an expedite? the receipt of my case was 24th March and Notice date is 31st March.
