EAD validity - USCIS mistake?
Hi all,
My previous EAD was valid up to April 1, 2018, to ensure I got a new one in time, I submitted the renewal months in advance. It was approved in February 2018 and now expires February 2020 - which means that by submitted 2 months in advance, I actually lost 2 months which is a real pain because my current L2 visa expires April 1, 2020 so I need an EAD for 2 months. Do you know if this is typical of the USCIS, aren't they suppose to send you an EAD card that is valid from the day your previous one expires?
If anyone had info on this, I would be grateful as currently I am waiting for my EAD renewal and will need to submit another EAD request shortly with my visa extension... Thanks!
