I just got back from my interview !
The Mrs & me received our appointment letters in the mail asking us to be present @ the immigration offices in Santa Ana, CA @ 12:45 pm
We arrived around noon after parking across the street ($10 for 2 hours approx) and I had to go back to the car after security told us our cameraphones were not permitted. We had no plans of taking pictures but know better than to argue @ times like these.
After signing in on the 1st Floor we patiently waited for a good 90 minutes before our names were called by different examiners within 5 minutes of each other.
In each of our private rooms, we were asked to swear upon oath, then asked for our IDs (driver license) passports, green cards and requisite paperwork. After confirming our residential addresses and employment history, we were asked 10 simple questions from the old test. My wife was given the option of taking either but I was not, no big deal either way. Most of her questions pertained to the Civics portion while mine were based on the History of the US. She got 1 wrong while i had none. Soon after we were made to write a simple sentence in English and told we had passed the test & would receive the letters for the oath ceremony in the mail, sometime within the next 45-60 days.
Then we happily strolled out and had ourselves a quiet lunch before we drove home
