I was granted the F2 visa few days back at US consulate in Hyderabad, I have been reading experiences of people on this site and they were very helpful so I want to share my experience at the consulate.
The documents my husband sent to me were the I20's , his bank statement showing enough funds (should have atleast 2 to 3 thousand dollars more then the required funds shown in I20, his assistantship letter , SEVIS fee receipt , passport copy and I took all the other documents required from my side.
The questions asked by the VO were.
1) why do you want to go?
2) when u got married?
3) what is your husband studying?
4) when did he went to USA?
5) who is sponsoring you?
6) how much property do u have?
thats it i got the visa.
One thing i want to say is that we should speak to them coherently and confidently even if we dont know anything.And they only concentrate on 3 things that is the marriage is genuine or not,we have enough money or not and finally we r going to return or not.Thats it.
