Family based immigrant visa refusal - White slip issued
Hello,
My Family had immigrant visa interview in OCT-2020 at Mumbai US Consulate, Interview didn’t go well as we expected,. Consular has issued a white 221g notice and asked for the set of required supporting documents. Here I will explain my case details/history. kindly suggest me if you have idea on this.
I was born and brought up in India. I got married in 2001 in India and we had a baby. For some reason we got divorced officially in 2005 and came to the US alone in 2006 by leaving my kid with guidance of my mom. After I moved to US, I was in a relationship with US citizen and then we got married in 2010. Everything was going well between us. I used to visit India every year to see my Kid, During that time, I got an affair with another girl who used to take care of my kid. With her I had a another baby, but we didn’t marry officially during that time. Then I came back to US and continued my life with my wife (US Citizen) till 2016. Due to some mis-understanding, we got separated officially at 2017. I got my US citizenship.
Then I went to India in 2018 and married the girl who used to take care of my kids,. I was planning to bring them to us, hence I applied Family based immigrant Visa for my wife and both kids.
They had an interview recently, during the interview Consular urged my wife to provide the written statement which says that I did my second marriage with US citizen in the intention of getting US citizenship. I don’t have any idea right now, What are they going to do with that statement? Are they going to find out how I got the citizenship? Will it affect my US citizenship? Do I really need to concern about this?
Kindly reply if any of you come across the same scenario or any of your spouse gave a written statement like this? I really appreciate your help here. Thanks.
