I cant thank this forum enough for helping me with the stress of this journey. I hope my timeline and how I filed help at least 1 person here. I am an earthquake survivor on tps since 2010. Met my husband earlier in 2018 and got married may 2019. Post wedding, honeymoon was during the summer, then moving in by the end of the year. It was financially better for us since we still lived with our families and my lease ends in December. Just be honest with the IO. Explain what, why and the next steps. That way, there's no room for barely additional questions and doubt. Organization and honesty is key during the interview. Preparation shows you've made the research and you're serious about the process. They'll be more intimidated by your preparedness than you are of them. It saved us time and stir the interview in a smooth direction. The IO will try to confuse you with erroneous statement but stay focus and clarify!! For example, "so you got married in may 2018(?)", "NO, may 2019!". "When did you move in together?" "We havent yet!" They already reviewed your info so they arent stupid. Dont be a fool! Go in with a lie detector mindset, spot the mistake and correct them right away. At the end of the day, it's all about verifying your story. Be prepared and confident in your answers. Good luck and sending prayers to those still waiting on a final decision.

10/24/19: Interview: arrives early. Got sent from one window to another bc the IO was in another room. Waited around 40 mins in the waiting area. The IO was a young Hispanic man. He was professional but approachable. The tension subsided very easily bc it was a semi conversation. He swore us in and I was placed in front of the camera during the interview. Started with our IDs. He asked for my passport but I also gave him my drivers license bc I didnt change my name on the passport. He verified my name and address. Since my name is originally full in middle names, I clarified why I'm using only 1 of them for consistency since I came in 2010. Then he asked for medicals. The doctor signed the form with 2018 by mistake but signed the correct 2019 on the assessment section, so the IO didnt make an issue out of it. Next he asked for evidence. We brought 2 folders, 1 with copies and 1 with originals. I told the IO we had the original of everything upon his request to see. He never asked for any of it. I printed a table of contents for IO and myself. Then went through everything by section. He didnt look at the ID section and was more focused on the taxes, joint documents. I emphasized we had and still have separate savings to show we didnt come into the marriage broke (my salary and my husband's has a significant gap). Also emphasized we will be using joint account to pay for our bills:

After going through all that, he asked about how/when we met, 1st date, subsequent dates summary, birthday celebration, a typical day in the week since we dont live together. My husband sleeps over by me whenever I have the night off so I talked about a typical week as a whole. Our story had interesting parts in it for all these questions, so he didnt ask about anything else. My husband correctly identified ⅔ people attending our wedding. The 2 people he got correct are the ones who wrote the affidavit letters. Would have been a red flag of he got them wrong (my bff, and friend who we hung out with since we met). He went through I485 yes/no Qs, then took my picture and fingerprint at the end (almost forgot).finally explained about the 120 days rules and gave me the interview completion paper. All in all took about 30/40 minutes(?) Time flew in there bc the IO and I interacted so much and I was talking with full informational sentences, so he barely had any follow up Qs. my husband was almost part of the furniture lol he mentioned about me having my EAD but I clarified it was TPS and would expire in 2 months. He brushed it off and mentioned the GC (cant remember exactly) so that was a somewhat + hint. Wasnt approved on the spot.
