File Transfer
Hi All,

I need your help/experience with my case. Any input os highly appropriated.I know it is a long post but waiting is killing me.
I got married to USC in Oct 2016 and have submitted my file in Feb 2017, got our first interview in June 2017 and second in Jan 2018. My husband got hospitalized night before the second interview. I went to interview with my lawyer and took a lettet from the hospital about him being hospitalized. The officer said she either will render a desicion or will ask to see my husband but I still did not get any update from them. My husband and I did a walk in to USCIS Jan 2018, asking for an update. They told us the officet is not available and supervisors also don't have availability to take walk in but gave us a form to fill. I got a letter in mail after a week basically saying we are doing our good to make a right desicion. We also have submitted 2 Ombudsman and a Senator request. Ombudsman requests came back saying that it is within normal processing time(which is up to 34 mos for IL).
We also have been residing in NJ (filed in IL) from April 2018 to Dec 2018 and permanently moved to NJ in Jan 2019. I have updated the address on April 2018 (but we were still IL residents till Jan 2019). Senator office replied back saying that USCIS called them saying they have NJ address, and once we confirmed that they transferred the Senator request from IL Senator to NJ Senator (important:not the case , just the senator request)
We called USCIS and asked our file to be transferred and asked how long it will take. The person on the phone said he doesn't know. I was wondering if anyone has transferred case from one office to another and how long did it take? Also anyone with two interviews and still no desicion? Any idea how I can expedite this?
