Hi guys! I have been a silent reader and then shared some of my experiences in this forum. I have been finally approved for the green card. My field office is Portland. Here is the timeline of the process:
August 8, 2018: USCIS received my entire application package.
September 7, 2018: Biometrics appointment scheduled in Atlanta.
September 10: Response for RFE received by USCIS
October 4, 2018: Another reponse for RFE received by USCIS
Jan 3, 2019: Interview Scheduled for adjustment of Permanent residence.
Feb 11, 2019: Interview completed and case must be reviewed.
March 4: Request for Evidence from USCIS received.
March 27: Response for RFE received by USCIS Portland office from us.
April 5, 2019: Case Approved !
We did not have much documents to submit as evidence when we filed the application. So, they asked for rfe and our marriage certificate also had an error which was caught by the after our interview. It was a stressful journey. Our interview was 70 minutes long! We were interrogated extremely thoroughly in the same room. But we answered everything and had no mistakes. DON'T LOSE HOPE; JUST HAVE PATIENCE! If you marriage is on good faith, they cannot deny you no matter what! I will update you guys once the time comes for the application for unconditional green card! KEEP FAITH!
