EAD (WorkPermit)

Hey all

So I finally got good news this morning and thought I’d share my timeline!

Filing from Mississippi. NBC processing and New Orleans field office.

2/7/19 - RD
2/11/19 - Check processed/letters in mail
2/27/19 - Biometrics
Radio silence
7/12/19 - Enquiry from local senator
7/16/19 - RFE due to missing tax returns/income
8/15/19 - RFE mailed to USCIS
8/19/19 - RFE received
8/21/19 - SR for I765 and I131
8/22/19 - Now - many EMMA chats, calls to USCIS officers and talks with senator
8/30/19 - Expedite for I765 as I am basically out of money and have a job offer
9/2/19 - Request for expedite evidence
9/2/19 - Bank statements, job offer, letters from finance company and a cover letter sent
9/4/19 - assigned to an officer
9/6/19 - I485 ready to be scheduled for an interview
9/9/19 - Interview was scheduled
9/10/19 - EAD new card being produced

Now to wait for it to show up. It’s been 216 days and it made me so stressed, it was horrible.

So for all you guys waiting, use Emma and ask them repeatedly, call them, use your senator and just push them.

There’s no order, no help, you have to do it yourselves. For those of you using a lawyer, you can do all this yourself and I don’t think anything will hurt your case, just try.

Now I can finally work! It’s all I wanted to do, now I feel so much more relaxed that there is hope.
