Finally received an interview date!!!
Hi Guys,
Finally after waiting for 9 months and 3 days, I received my interview date. It's scheduled for October 1st! Have yet to receive a written confirmation, they just updated it online today.
Here's my timeline so far:
Year 2014:
Oct 30- got married
Nov 22- sent package
Nov 24 - priority date
December 21 - Biometrics
December 29 - Status changed to "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"
Year 2015:
----NO UPDATES FOR THE LONGEST TIME--
August 27 - Status changed to "interview is scheduled on October 1st"
My field office is in Long Island ,NY. and it's in sync with Queens office (for those people who are from queens waiting for their interview)
Manhattan offices are quite fast, so expect to wait a while (possibly 9 months+ if you are from Long Island or Queens and happen to have either of those field offices).Also, I would highly suggest applying for an EAD in case your visa is going to end soon and you can't afford to wait for 9 months. I will definitely update my visa interview questions and the result once I am done. Thanks for all the support and information you guys have provided.
