Family Based Greencard

Good day beautiful people. I’ve been a silent reader on here for few months now. I filled in my application my case through a Lawyer my uncle introduced to me. I was suppose to do everything my self cos I’ve got couple of friends that did it their self and it works for them. But my uncle insisted I should use a lawyer. That it makes the process very fast. I don’t want to argue with him because he’s a college professor. They think they know better, lol. I went to Houston to meet the lawyer. My self and my wife filled out every necessary thing at his office and gave him every necessary documentation. He said he’s going to contact my uncle in regards of the affidavit of support. Cos my wife was doing a program that didn’t make her work for 2years. To cut the long story short. This Lawyer Sent the application without attaching the affidavit of support, he said if they petition it then he’ll send it.. I called my uncle he said the man didn’t ask him anything from him. Since they are friends the Lawyer said he’s going to contact him. That I shouldn’t bother my self. I was so pissed. He Sent the document on the 14th of aug, my priority date was aug 21, I did my thumb print on the 12th of sept. The USCIS sent a letter for additional info for affidavit of support on the 20th of sept. My wife called the Lawyer to send all our documents. That we will do the rest our self cos she was very angry. I couldn’t get my uncles tax info for another one month. Cos he was out of the country. So I had to use someone else. I sent in the additional document on the 24th of October. Since then I haven’t hear anything from the USCIS. I’ve called and call. They keep telling me they will get back to me in 15-30days. Does anyone has a similar issue. I’m sorry for my long comprehension.
