On January 5th I had my interview at the Chicago office and was approved on the spot. The officer was nice and asked very basic questions. The interview lasted around 20 minutes. Something that helped was that we brought a large number of pictures with family and friends and photos showing different trips we've taken together. From beginning to end the process took us close to 5 months. We hired a very experienced lawyer, but in hindsight, we could've done the application ourselves, had I found this forum earlier. There is so much information in this posts and the community found here is very warm and helpful. Thanks, and good luck everybody!
